Cervical Facet Joint Injections

Cervical facet joint injections are also used to treat mechanical and axial neck pain, mostly from an arthritic condition or inflammatory state. So in this case, we take the needle and place it directly into the facet joints of the cervical spine, usually in the area between C3 and C7. This, again, will provide the patient with local anesthetic and steroids in this area to alleviate the inflammation which is likely causing the pain.
