Suprascapular Nerve Ablations
The radiofrequency ablation of the suprascapular nerve is an adjunct to the suprascapular nerve block. After a block has been successful and has also shown to demonstrate control of the pain up to 70%, then we can employ the radiofrequency ablation to the same. In this case, the same procedure is performed, except using a radiofrequency device that is able to burn a 5 to 8 millimeter lesion across the nerve, which allows the nerve to be [00:28] in transmitting pain signals for up to 6 to 8 months.
