Peripheral Nerve Stimulators

The neuro stem device is also a peripheral nerve stimulator that we’ve been employing lately, probably within the last 3 to 4 months. This device is percutaneous; it is placed behind the left or right ear, and directly sends electrical signals directly to the brainstem itself where it is meant to modulate pain. There are currently two uses for the device. One is for chronic pain control, but also it has been shown to help with weaning off medications, or patients who have drug addiction problems who are trying to get off the medication they are currently on. This device has been shown to help those patients in the transitional period.
